[UPDATED] 3 Point Light Rig for Daz Iray by greene-tee [UPDATED] 3 Point Light Rig for Daz Iray by greene-tee
I've applied some helpful comments from :iconnikitahedon:

added some details on building the mesh light, and formatted it a little better.  It's more of a step-by-step now.

Thanks for this, I have an Iray lighting rig which is built for a room but something for other scenes that is a quick and easy will always be helpful.

As mentioned below, the thinking behind this setup is good too.

If I ever have an idea that doesn't come from one of these helpful hints/ tutorials, I'll share it.

Thanks for sharing.

Really interesting to see what you've done here. I use Octane myself rather than Iray so the techniques aren't quite the same, but the idea of slaving lights and cameras is something I'll try out.

Thanks!  The motivator was that plane lights need to be positioned and then rotated to face the subject, and it was super painful trying to do both while in rendered preview mode.  I needed a way to have one dial and a view that would always tell me what was up!

No doubt a great tutorial, though....to be honest, what grabs my attention is how far the girls' boobs are sticking out in the overhead shot! XD

LOL!  I guess it's good for a dry tutorial to have a little eye candy yes?  :D

True! And it's just unavoidable with your kind of subject matter anyway!

Yeah, not many trees and flowers in my gallery to use as examples :)

That's good to hear!  I imagine anyone that's doing this a lot has to have a similar solution, but I've never seen it described.  I see some
of my old renders and all I can think of is all the time fussing with the lights!  No more! Load tune shoot!
